Great place to stay, not too far from the highway! Friendly staff were welcoming & smiling. Easy to follow explanation of how things worked & basic run down of rules! Small area to navigate, especially to walk around! All features & amenities are great , wit h all essential amenities provided , that you may require when staying away on a holiday!

The pool and the waterpark and the spa were fun and the best stay ever and it was fun to stay with my younger cousins hdxgbxbcb b hubcaps hc crunch hcnchchdhcchcbcb no nnchcjchchchccjjcjccj jchjcjcjcjckcjcjcjcjcjc jjcjcjcncncncncjcjccnncjc ncnncnc nn n n ncnckcncncn. N

We arrived late afternoon, reception was great. Palm Villa was good, basic furniture, obviously well used, but seemed to have everything we could need. It added to our experience that the local wildlife was all around us. The veranda was great, the birds loved visiting us. Short walk to the beautiful beach. On our arrival, we asked about places to eat, and the receptionist recommended a nice eatery just down the road, which turned out to be great. Our only negatives are: 1. the double bed. This definitely needed replacing. The mattress was old and dipped as soon as we sat on it. 2. the water went off at about 11pm and didn’t come back on. We mentioned this in the morning and it seems it’s a regular occurrence. The receptionist gave us a voucher for coffee as an apology. We bought breakfast in the cafe, it was delicious! What a great place for families.

Despite being on an adventure with my son all around Australia, I rarely write a review. However, I had to make an exception for the team at Darlington. Whilst the facilities, grounds and activities on offer are all first class, it is the customer service that sets Darlington apart from every place I’ve ever visited in the last 50 years. Every interaction with the staff was exceptional - words like, ‘friendly’’, ‘thorough’ and ‘expert’ just do not do the team justice as they went above and beyond to make my son and I feel welcome. We extended our stay from two to eight nights and my son even asked if we could forego the rest of our adventure to stay here! Given our stay coincided with the arrival of Cyclone Alfred, the staff really demonstrated that during times of adversity, true leadership and quality of character stand up. While not wanting to diminish the efforts of all, a special thanks must go to Jasmine, Jeremy, Josie and the ladies at reception for being the very epitome of all of the above. A final thanks to Nick, whose inspiring leadership at Darlington is obvious for all to see and a significant reason the resort has such a great culture. He even makes a great coffee at 4am! We paid for a night here as our stop over from our family road trip to have a rest honestly don't know why I bothered had football players keep me up running around the bowling green till 11 then they proceeded to run around the cabins they woke my 5yo twins up 3x and didn't seem like anyone cared to stop them :(. The facilities themselves were good and the kids had fun on them except jumping pillow and pump track were out of action. The rooms were pretty good other than the main bed being extremely lumpy and having mould on the blinds.
